TMLP Commissioners

Peter Corr

Peter J. Corr is currently serving as a Taunton Municipal Lighting Plant Commissioner.

Peter has been a Police Officer for over 24 years. Mr. Corr is a member of the Dive Team, Motorcycle Unit and an E-Board member of the Patrolman's Union.

Mr. Corr has a Master's Degree from Western New England. He is the father of one son and an avid sports fan. In his spare time he enjoys spending time on his boat.

 

Joseph Martin

Joseph Martin is currently serving as TMLP's Secretary. He is also the chairman of the Taunton School Committee. He has held a seat on both boards for fourteen years.

Mr. Martin is a former assistant superintendent, administrator, and teacher of the Taunton School Department. He retired as assistant superintendent after 36 years of service. He continues to be a visiting lecturer at Bridgewater State University where he has been a member of the math and computer science department for the past 32 years. He also sits on the board of directors for the Taunton Nursing Home.

In his spare time he enjoys golfing, traveling with his wife, Diane, and spending time with his five grandchildren.

Mark Blackwell Sr.

Mark Blackwell Sr. is currently serving as the TMLP Commission's Chairman. He is in his fifth term, having first been elected in 2009.

Prior to being elected to the TMLP Commission, Mr. Blackwell worked at the TMLP for 37 ½ years, holding positions of Electric Station Operator, Electric Maintenance Repairman, and Operations Coordinator.

Mr. Blackwell is also a member of the mentoring program for people with spinal cord injuries.

He has four children and nine grandchildren and in his spare time enjoys building furniture projects and woodworking.
