TMLP Online has designed an online "primer course"
for people who are interested in building their own web pages.
It also includes a very brief history of the Internet and
the World Wide Web "model." The lessons are divided
into specific topics, so you can skip any topics you already
know and proceed at your own pace.
This is a very basic course designed for
people who are brand-new to HTML and does not include any
information about CSS, DHTML, or similar topics. Experienced
HTML programmers may want to skip to the Resources
page, which provides a few links to more advanced topics
in Web design.
What you will need before you begin the
course:
- A computer
- A Web browser (to be able to preview your work)
- A program that can edit text:
- All versions of Windows come with an application called
"Notepad" that you can use for this.
- Macintosh users can use SimpleText or any other text-editor
program.
